Adriana Barone

Adriana Barone is a graduate of Pratt Institute with a major in Fine Art and a minor in Art History. But she put art making on the shelf as she felt at the time that there were already too many objects. Young minds…..

In 1994 Adriana moved to Sag Harbor from the City when she changed careers from Art Directing to Energy Healing. In addition to her healing practice she spends massive amounts of time art making.

“Today I am consumed with the challenge of the canvas…the challenge of bringing spontaneity, freedom and life force to my work by combining intuitive mark making, imagery, humor and a healthy dose of frustration and futility. I paint to paint and I relish the breakthroughs when they happen and I sit in the struggle sometimes impatiently, sometimes hopeful that this too shall pass.”

Over the last 10 years Adriana has studied with Nicholas Wilton, Linda Capello, John Haubrich and Melora Griffis to whom she is indebted for their support and encouragement.

Recent work has been in The Ukraine Auction at The Church, Sag Harbor. She is invited to donate for the East End Hospice box Art Auction this summer. Over the years she has shown at Kramoris Gallery, Open-minded Organics, Stella & Ruby, John Germain Library and Haubrich Art.  She has shown her Tibetan artwork at the Omega Institute, Yoga Shanti, Ananda Wellness Center and Mandala Yoga.
